Alberto CAMPANI

Alberto Campani is a passionate biologist. He studied at Università di Pavia with a specialization in molecular biology and industrial microbiology. After 8 years working for a Pharmaceutical Company devoted to 3rd Party manufacturing of oral solid and liquid preparations, he joined DiaSorin – the Diagnostic Specialist – in 2008, a Medical Device Company specialized. After acting in different roles, he is currently Vice President of the Industrial Operations, leading the three European manufacturing sites dedicated to the production of more than 100 different IVD, immuno diagnostic assays. He is also Managing Director of DiaSorin GmbH. His main areas of responsibility and interest are the followings: • development and industrialization of recombinant proteins – enzymes, antigens (also native) and antibodies for diagnostic use; • development and industrialization of immuno assays (mainly infectious deseases and endocrinology); • definition of master plans for Operations (from Needs to Investments), to ensure mid- and long- term strategic objectives; • improvement of the Industrial System, empowering people of the Organization and working on effective and efficient processes through the Operational Excellence.
