Alex Sabiiti Mbonye

I am a graduate of Master of Science in Chemistry-Analytical Chemistry- with a distinction[CGPA 4.4] and a Bachelor of science in Industrial Chemistry from Kyambogo University and Makerere University respectively. I hold numerous certifications from PECB, Canada , and American Society of Quality. I am a PECB 17025 Certified Senior Lead Assessor, ISO 17025 Certified Senior Lead Implementor , ISO 9001:2015 Certified Senior Lead auditor, ISO 45001:2017Certified Senior Lead auditor and ASQ Certified GMP Professional and I sit as a Technical Expert on the ISO Working Group 24 for ISO-Consumer Safety. Over the last 13 years, 9 of which I have served in National Drug Authority (NDA) Uganda in the National Drug Quality Control Laboratory accredited by ANAB to ISO 17025:2017 and prequalified by WHO from where I have immensely led teams in the implementation, auditing and continuous improvement of the laboratory’s quality management systems. Currently I serve at the National Regulatory Head Quarters as a Senior Quality Management Officer, GMP inspector, and as one of the focal persons charged with the strategic target of ensuring the National Regulatory Authority of Uganda attains Maturity Level 3 using the WHO GBT.
