Daniel P. Hagewiesche

Dan joined Genentech in 2002 as a Senior Engineer in Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) in South San Francisco. Over the past 23 years, he has taken on various roles of increasing responsibility at multiple sites across the U.S. and Asia. Dan’s leadership journey began as a Senior Manager of MSAT in South San Francisco. He then became Site Head of the Oceanside Clinical Plant. Following his Oceanside assignment, Dan served as the Head of Manufacturing in Singapore. Dan returned to South San Francisco in 2013 as the Head of MSAT. Subsequently, he became the Quality Site Head in South San Francisco, and acted as interim Head of Quality in Vacaville in 2019. Prior to returning to Oceanside as the Site Head in March 2025, Dan held the position of Site Head in Singapore for 5 years. Dan is a well-respected leader, renowned for his ability to build strong teams and deliver exceptional results. His extensive experience in Manufacturing, Quality, and MSAT has been highly valued across the network. Dan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware and a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of California. In his free time, Dan enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, and swimming. He looks forward improving his surfing skills in the warm waters of San Diego county!
