David Streather

David Streather is a Senior Process Engineer in Pharmaceutical Technology & Development at AstraZeneca in the UK. He has worked for AstraZeneca for nearly 7 years in a variety of roles including product development, drug substance manufacture and drug substance development. He has an MEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham. He has worked on a variety of drug substance projects across all phases of development, commercial projects and, more recently, new modalities. For the last 2 years he has taken a lead role in defining how process engineers can contribute to AstraZeneca's ambitious carbon footprint targets. In this space, he is leading a number of science and technology activities in the area of sustainability, including a number of external collaborations. David is a Chartered member of the IChemE and a committee member of the Pharma Special Interest Group where he contributes to the network's sustainability strategy. Berlin alumnus after completing the Executive Transition Program in 2009.
