Dejanira Araiza Illan is an Associate Director in Business Transformation & Innovation at the Clinical Supply Chain, Johnson & Johnson. In her current role, she manages the portfolio of innovation and sustainability projects at the Clinical Supply Chain. Also, she has contributed to two EU-funded projects related to sustainability topics: Digital Health in the Circular Economy (DiCE) on the reuse of digital healthcare devices, and ECOTRON on the exploration of novel printed electronics technologies for recyclable and compostable devices. Her professional interests include digital innovation, smart manufacturing technologies, industrial advanced robotic applications, software engineering, artificial intelligence, verification and validation of autonomous systems and sustainability. Previously, she worked as Assistant Principal Engineer in Robotic Applications at Johnson & Johnson, as Scientist and Software Developer at the ROS-Industrial Consortium Asia Pacific and the A*STAR Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre in Singapore, and as a postdoctoral researcher on the verification of control systems and trustworthy robotic assistants at the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom. She holds a PhD in Automatic Control and Systems Engineering by the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom.
