Erica Torres

Erica Torres is the Head of Global Launch Excellence reporting into Takeda’s Global Supply Chain Team. In her 16-year career with the company (Takeda/Shire/Baxalata) she has held various positions with increasing responsibility within Supply Chain. Erica currently manages a global team located in 9 countries, supporting 150-200 launches per year. Her scope includes all therapeutic areas, regions and operating units (vaccines, rare disease, oncology, neuroscience, etc.) Prior to the Takeda acquisition of Shire, Erica held a number of Supply Chain leadership roles at Baxalta and Baxter, including S&OP Lead Hematology Franchise, New Product Introduction, and Supply/Demand Planning. Prior to working for Baxter she worked in as Materials, Procurement and Planning Manager for a cleantech emissions control company focused on sustainable solutions to reduce emissions. As a parent of a child with a rare disease, Erica understands the importance of the operational side of the business and experiences first-hand the impact our work has on the lives of the patient. Erica holds a degree in Business Management from California Lutheran University and Executive MBA in Supply Chain from University of Tennessee Knoxville.
