Geert Vandenbossche, PhD

Geert Vandenbossche, PhD, is the founder and owner of C&E Solutions BV. His key focus is on Annex-1 implementation. With 30 years of experience at Alcon/Novartis, he held various global and site roles. As the global head of Engineering and MS&T, he successfully integrated a startup into the Novartis Radio Ligand Therapy unit. His achievements include redesigning processes and implementing (semi-) automated equipment for isotope and finished product manufacturing across EU and US facilities. Prior to this, he served as the global head of quality for Sandoz sterile & special technology sites and Novartis biologics, and did lead Global Quality Strategic Initiatives focused on aseptic processing and data integrity company-wide. Following his PhD, he played a key leadership role at the Alcon Belgian Puurs site, overseeing engineering, MS&T, clinical supplies, regulatory affairs, quality control, and plant management for the production of ointments, syringes, eyedrops, and surgical procedure packs.
