Jamie Valvano is a mother, storyteller, educator, and cancer survivor who carries a legacy of hope. She first saw this philosophy embodied by her father, legendary coach Jim Valvano, who showed the world how a single life can resonate far beyond its own reach. She believes that when we combine our passions and unique gifts to discover our purpose, we prove that ordinary people can create a lasting impact. Jamie played an integral part in the creation of the V Foundation for Cancer Research, an organization that has awarded over $450 million to lifesaving research, and is currently a member of the Washington Speakers' Bureau and the Duke Cancer Institute Board of Advisors.
