Jason F. King

Principal, Computational Design, Arcadis

Jason King is an architect, planner, and parametric/computational designer with two decades of experience designing buildings and cities. He draws on a background spanning architecture, spatial analysis, algorithmic design and optimization, active transportation, and sustainable land use. The ability to use complex datasets to make evidence-based decisions across sectors is central to his work in architecture and city design. His parametric planning and design process allows increasingly complex, large-scale projects to be completed more efficiently while exploring exponentially more design iterations. He taught architectural studios at Woodbury University for a decade, researching computational solutions to architectural and urban problems. Before joining Arcadis, King worked in the Shared Mobility Department at the Los Angeles Department of Transportation, focused primarily on expanding the city's bikeshare program. King is also a former professional skateboarder.
