Joerg Blaesing is an accomplished leader with over 25 years of experience in leading diverse teams in technical operations, capital strategy and projects, as well as facilities and engineering within the Biotech and Pharma industries. As the Executive Director Engineering and Facilities at BioMarin, Joerg oversees all engineering operations for the BioMarin California Campuses that support Research & Development, Technical Development as well as Clinical and Commercial Manufacturing. Joerg had the opportunity to work in and gain expertise along the end-to-end Biotech value chain from development to the commercialization and integration of new products and processes and is passionate about operational excellence in all functions. Joerg holds a Masters Degree in Process and Energy Engineering from the University of Technology Berlin and RICE University.
