Jörg Zimmermann is Vice President, External Affairs at Vetter since November 2019. In this role, he oversees outreach and advocacy efforts, represents Vetter in associations such as ISPE, vfa, PHARMIG, and PBOA, and leverages industry networks and expert insights to support Vetter’s business. He also fosters collaboration between industry partners and Vetter departments. Between 2021 and 2022, Jörg Zimmermann served as chair of the International Board of Directors of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE). Previously, Mr. Zimmermann spent over a decade as head of production at Vetter’s Langenargen site, managing five manufacturing lines for aseptically prefilled drug delivery systems. In 2014, he became Vice President of Vetter Development Service Germany overseeing pharmaceutical process development and qualification, development of packaging components, analytical method transfers, and stability studies. After studying pharmacy in Freiburg, Germany and Cardiff, Wales, Jörg Zimmermann joined Vetter in 1996 as assistant head of production, focusing on process development and new product launches, particularly in lyophilization.
