Joy Elaine Forbes

Joy joined Novo Nordisk in March 2023 bringing over 25 years of manufacturing experience from Reynolds Consumer Products. Throughout her career at Reynolds, Joy held several engineering and management positions focused on safety, environmental compliance, facility maintenance and project management. She initially joined Novo Nordisk as a Project Manager for FFEx Sustainability, LEED, Waste Management, and Site Security, as well as providing interim coverage for early IT/OT site activities. She was quickly promoted to Manager of FFEx Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S). In this role, she has built a strong team of EHS&S professionals and has been instrumental in the design of the EcoDock, waste management and site security systems. Recently, she was promoted to Senior Manager for FFEx Production Support where she is responsible for Site Services, Metrology, Asset Management & Reliability, and the EHS&S Teams. Joy holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering and Master of Science in Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University. She also holds a Master of Science in Management from the University of Phoenix.
