Principal Data Scientist, Aily Labs

Marc Jorda is a seasoned data science professional with over seven years of experience in the field. He holds a Double Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Barcelona and a Master’s Degree in Data Engineering and Data Science from the National University of Distance Education (UNED). Marc currently serves as a Principal Data Scientist at Aily Labs, where he plays a pivotal role in developing cutting-edge AI applications designed to empower businesses through meaningful and accessible AI solutions. His work has had a significant impact across manufacturing, quality, and supply domains. In addition to his technical contributions, Marc has been instrumental in enhancing the company’s data science methodology and leads a team of 10 data scientists, providing mentorship and strategic direction. Prior to his role at Aily Labs, Marc worked at SDG Group, a data consulting firm, as part of the Advanced Analytics team. There, he led and contributed to a wide range of data science initiatives, including Next Best Action (NBA) systems, predictive modeling, machine learning, time series forecasting, and complex Big Data solutions within the Business Intelligence (BI) space. Marc is deeply passionate about Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) and the ethical implications of AI. He has collaborated with the AI Office of the European Commission in drafting the Code of Practice for General-Purpose AI models under the AI Act. At Aily Labs, he is also spearheading the development of an AI Governance framework and serves as the company’s go-to expert on responsible AI practices. He has received specialized training in Responsible AI from MILA – Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute. Driven by curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning, Marc approaches his work with enthusiasm, responsibility, and a methodical mindset. He thrives on new challenges and is always eager to contribute his expertise to meaningful, forward-thinking projects.
