Mark Proctor

Mark is currently the General Manager of AstraZeneca’s Vaccine R&D and Operations site in Liverpool (UK), with primary responsibilities for seasonal (and pandemic) influenza vaccine development and production. Prior to this role Mark was the Global Supply & Strategy Snr. Director responsible for successfully setting up and launching the UK and International supply chains for the Oxford/AstraZeneca Covid vaccine. Through his career at AstraZeneca Mark has held several senior positions across R&D, Supply Chain, Strategy and Operations Management since joining the organisation in 2009.

Mark has a Master’s in Biochemical Engineering from University College London (UCL), and an Executive Master’s in Business Administration from Cass Business School, London. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chemical Engineers, a member of the BIA Manufacturing Advisory Committee, and a senior visiting lecturer at UCL. Mark was nationally recognized with a CBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in 2021 for his services to the Covid-19 response.
