Markus has been in the pharmaceutical industry for over 5 years. He manages a team at the interface of Qualification/ Validation and Microbiology involved in the production of sterile pharmaceuticals. Markus is an expert in the validation of sterilization/decontamination & depyrogenation processes, clean rooms, hold times, and container closure integrities. He studied Molecular Cell Biology and Molecular Biosciences at the University of Heidelberg and did his PhD at the Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology in Berlin in the field of Virology.
