Matt Edwards has worked at Eli Lilly and Company for 21 years since graduating with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University. He later obtained an MBA through Purdue University’s international program. He has held leadership roles in engineering, operations, supply chain, and commercialization across dry products and parenteral manufacturing. His most recent experiences were as site head of Puerto Rico (dry products) as well as site head of Suzhou China (startup of insulin facility). Upon repatriation in 2019, Matt gained experience in the commercial organization as national sales leader in the Diabetes Business Unit. Once the Covid-19 pandemic started, he accepted responsibility for leading our global manufacturing effort to supply Covid neutralizing antibodies by working across the enterprise and externally to accelerate the delivery of this important therapeutic. In May, Matt moved into a new role as the Vice President for Lilly’s Indianapolis Parenteral Manufacturing site responsible for both commercial supply and commercialization of the pipeline.
