Degree in Medicinal Chemistry gained in 2004 at University of Perugia – Italy. Michele joined Baxter, Rieti site (now part of Takeda), in 2005 as responsible for Cleaning and Instruments Validation in Quality department. Then, he expanded his responsibilities in the area of Environmental and Critical system monitoring, including related Data Trending management and Contamination Prevention processes. In 2009 he became Quality Operations Manager for Rieti site and, in addition to the above mentioned duties, is in charge for managing Quality in the Shop Floor support and Documentation Review, supporting all Quality initiatives in Manufacturing. Since 2019, he is the Head of Quality Services and Improvement for Rieti and Pisa Takeda sites where he promotes and sustains continuous improvement initiatives in Quality areas. Digitalization is one of the main focus: implementation of software and advanced data analytics will increase the efficiency and compliance. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning represent an interesting challenge for the next future, taking a first step with the brand new software Trendify, developed to proactively detect anomalous data trends in water and cleanrooms systems using ML algorithms.
