Nassim Farrokhzad

Nassim Farrokhzad is an Associate Director of Drug Product within Biologics Global Operations at AstraZeneca, where she leads late-stage and commercial manufacturing strategy for parenteral drug products and combination therapies. With over 12 years of industry experience spanning global pharma and biotech startups, Nassim has driven global technology transfers, shaped CMC regulatory strategy for BLA and NDA filings, and championed innovation in digital and data-driven manufacturing. Prior to AstraZeneca, she held technical and management roles at Gilead Sciences and Proteus Digital Health, where she oversaw and established manufacturing operations domestically and internationally. Nassim holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and an M.S. in New Product Development from UC Berkeley. Known for her systems thinking and cross-functional leadership, Nassim is passionate about applying innovation, data, and AI to transform the future of pharmaceutical operations.
