Nirmal Kumar

Dr Nirmal Kumar is currently the Vice President of Quality with Alkem Laboratories Ltd and leading the clusters of four facilities engaged in manufacturing of sterile and non-sterile products. Earlier he headed the global QA of Novugen Pharma, Kuala Lumpur. He had also worked with generic majors like Aurobindo, Torrent and Ranbaxy in leadership roles at manufacturing sites to handle global regulatory agencies like USFDA, EU, WHO, MHRA, ANVISA, and Health Canada. Dr Nirmal Kumar is the alumnus of prestigious institutions like Delhi University and BITS Pilani from where he did masters respectively in Chemistry and Quality before he completed his doctorate from Manipal Group. He has qualified the three global certifications from the American Society of Quality (ASQ) for Certified Quality Auditor, Manager for Quality/Organizational Excellence and Supplier Quality Professional. He also possesses Six Sigma Black Belt (SSBB) certification from government of India. Dr Nirmal has authored 12 papers on various topics related to the quality system in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry. He has addressed the international conference organized by ISPE Singapore and workshop on advanced GMP organized by CDSCO & WHO as a distinguished resource person, in addtion to conferences organuzed by 'The Economic Times' & ,'Pharma Express'.
