Paolo M. Leani
Technical Director, Stilmas
Paolo Leani is graduated in Chemical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano (scientific-technological University in Italy) and has more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical water treatment field. Mr. Leani started his professional career in “Ponzini” till the acquisition of the company by Stilmas S.p.A. (2005). In Stilmas, initially working as Project manager in charge of complex projects for multinational pharmaceutical companies, Mr. Leani got progressively involved in managing Stilmas project managers team and engineering department (2007).
At present, Mr. Leani is Stilmas R&D and Technical Director.
As member of ISPE (International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering) is active on Clean Utilities CoP and has been involved in the writing of the chapter related to the Clean Utilities in the “ISPE HANDBOOK: SUSTAINABILITY” (2015). Moreover has been involved as contributor in the writing of the “Good Practice Guide: Membrane-Based Water for Injection Systems” (2022) as well as of the Good Practice Guide “Approach to Commissioning and Qualification of Pharmaceutical Water and Steam System” (2014).
He actively participates also with PDA worldwide.
