Rebeca Encinar Rivas

Rebeca Encinar Rivas graduated in chemical engineering at the University of Salamanca, Spain. She has been working for more than five years in the pharmaceutical industry leading equipment and process qualification projects. Rebeca is currently engaged in the qualification of the new production line, leading the validation of dry heat sterilization processes of the new Autoclave equipment. Last year, Rebeca led a method 1 investigation of an incident related to the equilibration time requirement in previous sterilization equipment, solving the problem with satisfactory results and including improvements in the process. Her next challenge is the design of an optimal drying phase for the sterilization and drying of stoppers to achieve the demanding moisture limits required for freeze-dried products.
