Robert Guenard, PhD

Rob has worked in multiple capacities in the chemical and bio-pharmaceutical industries for 30 years. Rob has founded a consultancy to support organizations in their digital journeys. Over the last couple years he led the newly formed Data Sciences Organization in Pharm Sciences in Pfizer R&D. The new organization had the mission to implement and support digital technologies and lead the digital transformation of process and product development at Pfizer. He is passionate about realizing the value of new technologies in organizations by using management science to bring people and technology together. Rob worked at Biogen for 8 years where he led the Digital Development and Analytics team in Product and Technology Development as well as the Digital Realization Office for the Pharm Ops and Technology Division. Rob spent 12 years at Merck (MSD) in various leadership capacities working on technology innovation, operations leadership, strategic initiatives, process analytics & control and knowledge management. Rob started his career and spent 7 years at the Dow Chemical Company in the Central R&D division working in process analytics and molecular spectroscopy. Rob received a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Massachusetts - Lowell and a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Florida. He is engaged in industry activities including serving on the Pharmaceutical Process Analytics Roundtable (PPAR) steering committee, Co-Chair of IFPAC 2020 & 2021 and a member of the IAAE Life Sciences Advisory Board.
