Sanja S. Karlsson
SUDDEN Project Coordinator, University of Helsinki
I work as a project coordinator at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Helsinki (UH) in a multidisciplinary research project SUDDEN (Sustainable Drug Discovery and Development with End-of-Life Yield) that aims to reduce environmental impacts of medicines across their life cycle. My background is in environmental microbiology (MSc) and pharmacy (BSc) and I have experience of working in “Pharmaceuticals in the Environment” related research projects since 2017. For the past 5 years I have also been an active member of a “Generation Green” task force at UH, working to integrate environmental aspects in the pharmacy curriculum.
