Manufacturing Associate II, Abzena

A self-professed biotech hitchhiker. It all began when I was a child and started my first lab in my treehouse. I mixed leaves and berries and water thinking I was some ancient healer. I accidently created mold and my lab was shut down by my mom (the FDA of child-run labs). That dream to be a healer never died. I had a few pit stops on the way, but I eventually stumbled into biotech. My experiences range from traumatic brain injury and Alzheimer’s disease research at the University of California Irvine and tracking antibiotic resistance genes for the Mota-Bravo Lab at the University of California Irvine. These experiences motivated me to earn my MEng degree and actually start making medicine. Recently, I have dabbled in bioprocessing and have acquired experience in monoclonal antibody (mAb) process development for both breast cancer and prostate cancer biologic medicines. As of 2025 I'm now dabbling with manufacturing processes, biosensor fabrication, and biochemistry research. I hope to mesh these interests together to help innovate the medical field.
