Stephen Brown

Steve Brown is an experienced mechanical engineer and enterprise architect with over 35 years of experience with major manufacturing companies. Steve has spent a large part of his career aligning IT and Business to achieve successful transformation, innovation and deployment of new technologies to achieve measurable business benefits. His focus since joining Altran has been the development of Altran’s Digital Twin services as part of digital transformation. Most recently Steve has led the deployment of Digital Twin technology into a large global turbine manufacturer to automate the production of digital twins of many thousands of customer plant installations and drive the digital transformation of R&D, training, field service engineering, maintenance and operations. This project used innovative mechanisms to aggregate data from many different sources and serve that data as an ontology-driven graph based "data lake." The addition of gaming technology provided spectacular 3D data visualisation as well as unique real-time collaboration on-site/off-site with VR and AR technology.
