OpenLab Platform R&D Director in the Software & Informatics Division at Agilent, based in Waldbronn, Germany. My primary focus is on reusable components, connectivity and data standards to enable the digital lab (which I see as a critical element of Pharma 4.0).
I joined the industry in 1989 as a software engineer with a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering / Biomedical Devices, and held positions in software development, support engineering, product management, services R&D management and requirements analysis for analytical laboratory systems.
I originally joined ISPE for the PAT SIG back in 2003 and I currently co-lead the Pharma 4.0 Plug and Produce workgroup together with Josef Trapl (Takeda).
Since 2021, I am also a member of the Pharma 4.0 chair together with Thomas Zimmer, Christian Wölbeling and Josef Trapl.
In my leisure time, I enjoy running and playing music.
