Emily Gullotti

Emily Gullotti received her bachelor of science degree in materials science and engineering from MIT in materials science and engineering in 2007. She subsequently received her PhD in biomedical engineering from Purdue University under the mentorship of Yoon Yeo in 2012. After Purdue, she joined the Respiratory Product Development Group at Merck as a formulator where she worked on the development of dry powder inhalers, nasal sprays and other inhaled products. She also gained experience with implantable formulations like rods and rings. In 2016, she joined the Formulation Sciences group where she's worked on enabled and conventional formulations in the early and late stages, process robustness and scale-up. For the past year, she has been working on building the FLEx center at Merck, which is being designed as a state-of-the-art, multi-modality, modular, podular GMP clinical facility.
