Dr. Lindsey Silva is a Senior Manager, Microbiology Global QC at Genentech, a Member of the Roche Group. Dr. Silva is currently responsible for driving analytical innovation and QC-microbiology solutions during launch and lifecycle management. In her previous roles, Dr. Silva was responsible for the design and execution of virus clearance studies and development of adventitious agent testing technologies to support the viral safety of CHO-derived and plasma-derived biologics. Dr. Silva is a molecular virologist by training. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from UC Irvine, Ph.D. in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from Harvard Medical School, and post-doctoral work at USC Keck School of Medicine. As a member of the Latinx community, Dr. Silva is passionate about diversity and inclusion to drive innovation. Dr. Silva co-leads diversity in STEM initiatives as a board member of the SACNAS professional chapter at Genentech.
