Barry McCarthy is Senior Director with the Janssen R&D, Biotherapeutics Development & Supply organization. In that role he has responsibility for end to end Drug Substance Process Development & Commercialization for new protein based Biotherapeutics, transitioning from the Janssen CMC process to commercial supply chain.
Barry has over 30 years experience in the Biopharmaceutical business and has worked in Janssen for the past 14 years. Previously he has worked with Schering -Plough (now Merck) and Jacobs Engineering.
Barry serves on the Scientific Advisory Board for the National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training (NIBRT) in Dublin and is a former board member of the ISPE Irish Affiliate.
