Jeremy Merritt PhD

Jeremy M. Merritt, graduated cum laude from St. Bonaventure University with a bachelors of science degree in chemistry and a minor in mathematics. He received his PhD in physical chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and spent one month as an invited researcher at the Fritz-Haber Institute of the Max-Plank Society in the department of molecular physics before completing a postdoctoral appointment at Emory University. In 2009 he joined Lilly’s small molecule design and development organization and is currently a principal research scientist leading the crystallization process and particle design lab. He is recognized for his leadership and technical contributions to employing mathematical modeling and process analytical technology to speed drug development of several active pharmaceutical ingredients in the autoimmune, oncology, neuroscience and cardiovascular therapeutic areas.
