Kenneth W. Pierce B.Sc. Ph.D.

As a Cleaning Validation SME for Hyde Engineering + Consulting, Europe, cleaning science and validation has been Kenneth’s primary career focus since attaining a Ph.D. in Bioanalytical Neurochemistry. With 10 + different sites, clients, cleaning programmes, and detailed programme assessments for at least 5 more, his experience is wide-ranging and ever increasing. He has designed and managed the delivery of complex multi-product and multi-site cleaning validation programmes, masterplans and plans, including green-field start up and integration of cleaning validation needs into a risk-based, ASTM2500E biotech start-up. Science-driven, effective and efficient cleaning and sanitisation processes are his passion, one he is always willing to share. Recently a lot of his focus has been on the delivery of environmental driven CIP optimisation - reducing impact, cost, and ensuring drug supply be enabling significant increases in batch completions.
