Lane Hapke

Lane Hapke is the Vice President of Manufacturing Operations at Ampio Pharmaceuticals. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering while riding bulls for the University of Colorado, Boulder and is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers, and the North American Membrane Society. Lane began his 30+ year career performing contract research and development for membrane separations at Bend Research Inc. and then SRI International. Then he worked in the pharmaceutical industry at Roche Colorado for over 23 years as a process development engineer, the clinical supply pilot plant manager, and the maintenance and facilities manager for the Boulder site. Lane then contracted with Amgen to review their Manufacturing of the Future (MoF) single use equipment for design, function, and safety issues. This experience has prepared Lane well for his responsibilities at Ampio Pharmaceuticals where he directed the site development in Englewood, Colorado, from the construction phase to equipment, facility, and process validation on a commercial scale. His responsibilities include manufacturing of drug substance and drug product, labeling and packaging, warehousing, shipping and receiving, process development, maintenance and facilities, automation, and information technology.
