Manfred Schwaiger

Manfred is Head of Business Enabling in the Oncology Therapy Area at Roche Pharma Research & Early Development. He joined Roche in 1998 as a Discovery scientist and gained 20 years of experience in Discovery in the Oncology area. About 10 years ago he left the wet lab behind to established Project Management early Discovery projects. He supported the progression of numerous small molecule and biologics projects into clinical development and is leading portfolio governance for Oncology. He recently established a completely new Project- and Portfolio management platform using a PM tool adopted from the automobile industry, and he lead the implementation and rollout across the entire R&D organisation.
