Judith Velazquez

Judith Velázquez joined Amgen assuming responsibility for the Facilities & Engineering team at AML in October 2020. In this role, Judith provides leadership on all aspects of the Facilities and Engineering of the site, in addition to critical projects. Judith leads the Engineering team to maintain the infrastructure and resilience of the AML site. She is leading the Environmental Sustainability team of the site and is responsible for the realization of Amgen commitments for 2027 in AML. Judith comes to Amgen with a broad experience in the Pharmaceutical, Consumer, and Medical Device industries. Before joining Amgen, she worked at Abbott, GlaxoSmithKline, and J&J in roles of increasing responsibility. In her experience, she has worked with Sites and Regional Facilities managing Utilities Operations & Maintenance, Engineering Services, Capital Projects, Crisis Management, Technical Operations, and EHS&S. Judith is passionate about working with people and have a track record of strengthening teams and developing talent to meet the needs of the future. Judith is a Professional Engineer and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Turabo University, in addition to a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez campus.
