Mr. Willam Patrick Swaney

Mr. Swaney is the President of Expression Manufacturing LLC and a renowned vector manufacturing expert. He recently oversaw the buildout of Expressions in house manufacturing cell and gene therapy manufacturing facility. He has three decades of experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing of cell and viral vector products for human clinical trial use and has successfully overseen the manufacture of more than 70 GMP runs for both academic and commercial clients. Previous positions included the Director of the Vector Production Facility & Viral Vector Core at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Operations Director of the Biologic Therapy Core Facility at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, Senior Operations Manager of the cGMP Stem Cell Laboratory at the Tulane University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, LA, and Quality Assurance Manager for the Human Gene Therapy Applications Laboratory at the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. His professional focus continues to be the development of improved & scalable manufacturing platforms for different viral vectors and the manufacture of individualized patient-specific products for the treatment of cancer.
