Dr. Elia Sanchez Ph.D.

With over 18 years of experience in Pharma, Doctor Elia Sanchez has focused on Industrial Microbiology topics in Biotechnology that go from drug development to product commercialization. She currently works as Associate Director of the Quality Control (QC) Laboratory at Allogene Therapeutics located in South San Francisco and Newark, California. Elia earned her Ph.D. Degree in Microbiology at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus. Her experience includes Management roles withing QC in companies such as Amgen and Genentech and has experience in Small Molecules, Proteins, Monoclonal Antibodies, and CART Cell Therapies Quality Control processes. Her current focus is on Aseptic Processing and the implementation of Contamination Control Strategies for the manufacturing of safe products for cancer patients in need of alternative therapies.
