Ramon L. Allende

Ramon was born and raised in Puerto Rico where he went to school and attended the University of Puerto Rico- Mayaguez obtaining a B.S. in Industrial Biotechnology. He has over 20 years of experience in both the Pharmaceutical industry and InVitro Diagnostics.
He started his professional career with Amgen in Puerto Rico, where he held roles in Quality, Project Management and Fill and Finish Operations. Within Amgen he contributed to the validation and launch of multiple drugs for the treatment of inflammatory diseases and cancer. He also held leadership roles in the startup of a state of the art Formulation and Filling facility.
In 2011 he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia where he led the manufacturing operations of blood banking reagents for Immucor. There, he started as an operations manager taking later on full responsibility of the reagent filling, packaging and micro plate manufacturing operations.
In 2015 Ramon joined Sanofi at their US Vaccine Site, located in Swiftwater Pennsylvania as a Director in aseptic filling. Over the last 8 years, he held roles in Filling and Inspection operations and Global Industrial Strategy for Vaccines Formulation and Filling. In 2021 Ramon was promoted to Head of Fill and Finish Operations at the Sanofi Swiftwater site.
