Achieving aseptic excellence has many challenges - from maintaining product sterility and stringent regulatory compliance to balancing operational efficiency in an ever-evolving landscape. With the continuous movement to realising industry 4.0, we are at a pivotal point where innovation and collaboration must converge to redefine aseptic drug manufacture. To bridge this gap, a collaborative team comprising manufacturers and CDMOs working within BioPhorum have created the User Vision for the Filling Line of the Future, outlining the challenges facing aseptic drug manufacture, the future needs of the industry, and the pivotal role of equipment manufacturers in shaping this evolution. This presentation will cover aspects of the document, the challenges to be addressed in both scaling up technology from small scale to high volume / commercial lines, and the importance of ensuring automation has been implemented as the correct solution for the use case.
