EU24CEMAR1/SES305 - Environmental Considerations for Lyophilization

‐ Mar 12, 2024 2:15pm

Our presentation will spotlight the journey from R&D, through product development, and right up to full-scale production in the fill and finish phase.
Collaborating with a designer/vendor alongside an experienced process engineering end-user, we aim to offer a comprehensive understanding of the lyophilization process, from inception to completion.
A key component of our discussion will be the pivotal decisions made during the engineering of lyo equipment, which carry both code and environmental implications. These decisions invariably influence facility design and utility considerations. Our presentation will highlight both reactive and proactive engineering solutions, offering attendees a clear perspective on how to approach similar challenges.
Central to our findings will be the exploration of efficiencies, the challenges faced, and our vision of an ideal production module that is both replicable and streamlined. By the end of this session, participants will gain insights that not only enhance their understanding of lyophilization equipment but also provide guidance on building typologies and utility expansion.
